Coaching allows me to do what I do best: support, encourage and inspire others to live the lives they truly desire.
An astute introvert who helps people enact authentic lives, my professional experiences include almost 30 years in educational settings (administration, teaching, admissions, college counseling and student wellness); almost 20 years as a practicing adult psychotherapist; and deeply meaningful work with pediatric cancer patients and their families.
Through many years of walking alongside people who are reimagining their lives, I've gained a deep respect for: endings and beginnings; the courage it takes to change; and the preciousness of building a life that truly matters to you.
Listening is my superpower. So is partnering with people to accelerate their growth and the achievement of their personal and professional ambitions.
I earned a BA in English from Amherst College, and an MA in Clinical Social Work from the University of Chicago. I am a licensed psychotherapist with practice experience in school, hospital, agency and private practice settings. My coaches' training was taught through the lens of positive psychology at the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute and my certification is through the International Coaching Federation.
Like many of my clients, I've stood in the crosshairs of change and opportunity and challenged myself to grow.
When I am not supporting others, I renew my energy through reading, writing, and spending time at the beach.
